Libraries are portals

The still quiet of people reading and writing and studying, soaked up by the thousands upon millions of book pages. The twitching of eyes over words on the page, the intake of information.
Libraries are sacred places, and I myself have had the privilege of sleeping overnight in my local library. It was during the Grey Bruce novel Marathon, where I sat down and wrote a novel in 72 hours. Let me tell you, I cannot wait until this year’s marathon. It was a fantastic experience to spend the weekend in the library, furiously typing a new world.
